Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Midlands

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Midlands is a nonprofit organization serving youth ages 7 to 21 across nine counties in Nebraska and Iowa. We recruit, screen, and train adult volunteers (“Bigs”) to be matched with children (“Littles”) in professionally supported, one-to-one mentoring relationships that meet weekly through our Community-Based program. We also offer MentorU, a program designed for high school students, where BBBSM MentorU Coordinators teach a social enrichment course focused on building lifelong skills. Mentors connect with students through an online messaging platform and meet with them in person once a month to discuss what they’re learning and offer guidance. Our dedicated Match Support Specialists provide ongoing support to ensure strong, lasting connections.
