Our Mission

Friends of Guatemalan Children's (FOGC) mission is to promote the health and well being of vulnerable Guatemalan children by providing financial assistance to organizations and establishments that provide educational, nutritional and medical assistance to those children and to relieve the distress of vulnerable Guatemalan children through provision of food, medical care, education and job training services.

Who We Are

FOGC is entirely run by volunteers so that all donations can go directly to support the children in need in Guatemala. Our main beneficiary is Casa Guatemala; a registered Guatemalan nonprofit who since 1977 has provided quality education, health meals and primary medical care, safe and loving environment to over 200 vulnerable children from the Indigenous Mayan communities of rural eastern Guatemala.

Visualizing Change

Rural Indigenous Girls face the highest risk of early pregnancy and a lack of primary education. Only 30% go on to complete middle school or high school. At Casa Guatemala 52% of the children served are indigenous Mayan girls.
