To fulfill our mission: • We conduct health behavior research to better understand the patient experience and the interactions between patients and their healthcare teams. • We create educational materials—based on research and adult education principles—to empower patients to manage their health. • We distribute these educational resources at little or no cost to maximize their availability. • We work with policy-makers and providers to create patient-friendly, rehab-friendly policy.

We are a ministry of the St. Louis Mennonite Fellowship, one of two Mennonite churches located in the St. Louis area. Plowsharing Crafts is a member of the Fair Trade Federation, and a 501c3 not-for-profit organization. We are largely staffed by volunteers from the community, and we always welcome new friends to join our team.

Our mission is to assemble and educate a diverse group of individuals, businesses and organizations to improve the Gowanus waterfront in Brooklyn and foster awareness of issues affecting New York- New Jersey harbor. The Gowanus Dredgers Canoe Club intends to contribute to transforming a dilapidated, historically significant estuary into a self-sustaining, environmentally friendly and healthy waterfront to be enjoyed and treasured by current and future generations. By encouraging waterfront activity and stewardship of the waterway, we reconnect the community with their shoreline. Renewing this relationship strengthens the desire for remediation of our harbor.
