PIRC was founded in 1996 on the principles of service and access to justice in response to the detention of the refugees of the Golden Venture. Our principles guide PIRC’s programs, protecting immigrants’ rights to freedom and opportunity in the United States, giving voice to the most vulnerable immigrants and their families. Invisible Illness Awareness Network is committed to increasing awareness of invisible illnesses, chronic illnesses, and disabilities, especially among current and future healthcare professionals. We promote understanding through our adaptable education program designed for high schools, colleges, and other forms of higher education, while encouraging empathy between patients, providers, and the general population. We work to reduce the stigma associated with invisible illnesses and disabilities, advocate for institutional change by fostering awareness in healthcare, education, and workplace environments, and create inclusive and accessible spaces where people with invisible conditions can feel safe, seen, and supported.

ABRO brings Belarussian children to the U.S.A. each summer to receive medical care and treatment from the radiation that plagues their society from the 1986 Chernobyl Nuclear Disaster. Children stay with host families for six weeks during the summer months.
