ASPEN CAMP OF THE DEAF AND HARD OF HEARING
The mission of the Aspen Camp School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (ACDHH) is to provide enriching and effective educational, outdoor and recreational experiences for Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals. It is the goal of the ACDHH to develop and motivate a sense of self-confidence, independence, and pride in personal accomplishments; to develop self-reliance; to encourage a network of sharing with others; and to recognize each individual's abilities as participating members of society. In addition, the ACDHH aspires to increase the public's awareness and sensitivity toward the culture and life challenges of those who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

Through our programs, we support children with disabilities who are the most vulnerable—abandoned by families living in extreme poverty who have no resources to cope, or unclaimed by family after the death of one or both parents. We also work with families with disabled children, providing educational and income generation support, in order to prevent the abandonment or institutionalization of children with disabilities.

Allegheny CleanWays is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed in 2000 to "engage and empower people to eliminate illegal dumping and littering in Allegheny County." Illegal dumping and littering both degrade communities and our quality of life. Illegal dumping creates significant risks to public health and the environmental quality. Litter creates a sense of neglect, reducing property values and inviting property vandalism. Residents and businesses have the power to prevent and eliminate BOTH illegal dumping and litter.
