For over 30 years, they have impacted families across 26 counties, leading over 10,000 people to Christ through their outreach programs. As a child growing up in small Bible churches, one of the highlights of the year was the annual Missions Conference that was held, usually sometime in October. I enjoyed going and hearing of the work God was doing in other countries. After all, ours was a "Christian country" and we needed to send people overseas to share the Gospel of Christ. The songs we sang -- Send the Light, We've a Story to Tell, So Send I You, Go Ye into All the World and others, were brought out each year to sing several times along with a theme song and then put away again until the following year or until we had a missionary speaker come. I loved these songs, but it seemed we only sang them when "missionaries" were present.

Youth Outreach Services
Youth Outreach Services (YOS) is a non-profit comprehensive youth services agency. YOS serves at-risk youth, ages 12 to 21 years, and their families, who are struggling at school, at home, or in their communities throughout Chicago and Cook County . We help youth to overcome their challenges through programs that may fall into four specific service categories: Counseling Services/Behavioral Health, Prevention Services, Child Welfare/Foster Care, and Juvenile Justice. With a staff of 120, YOS serves more than 4,500 youth each year.
