Among our objectives is to help brilliant but needy students as well as potential students in in our communities to become effective and useful citizens to the whole world.Our aim is to assist children acquire the necessary skills for their own usefulness to their community and Ghana in general. It is our hope that leaders will be raised with our effort and your support. This achieved the vices of drugs and alcohol abuse which untrained minds tend to adopt would be averted. Other remedies induced by the deprived children’s education are avoidance of “SAKAWA” (Internet Fraud), robbery and other anti-social activities which have been rampant in the constituency. When a person is not educated, life challenges are profound as they have not obtained any skills that have the aptitude of making them profitable. The negativity that lack of education renders undeserving children is very unrewarding, not to them alone but to society in General.

Our Mission: The Coalition unites foster, adoptive and kinship care families, giving them a voice and providing support, information and advocacy. By fostering communication and collaboration between families, agencies and concerned citizens, we seek to ensure the stability, well-being and permanency of all children. Our Vision: No foster, adoptive or kinship care family in New York State will feel alone or unsupported and that all such families will have the tools, support and community they need to nurture their children and be role models for others. Our Goals: Educate and support foster/kinship care/adoptive parents and the professionals who serve them by utilizing information-sharing, services, peer support and referral. Improve services available to children and families. Increase citizen involvement in local service planning and delivery. Educate leaders and stakeholders about the realities, challenges and rewards of foster/kinship care/adoptive parenting. Advocate for greater support of foster/kinship care/adoptive families by federal, state and local agencies. BIG BROTHERS & BIG SISTERS OF GREATER CINCINNATI, INC
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cincinnati serves children in Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky and Southeastern Indiana. The agency pairs adult volunteer mentors with children who can benefit from having a positive role model. Volunteers are asked to commit to a one-year friendship with the child, with most pairings lasting much longer. 99% of the children in our program are in school, not involved with the juvenile justice system and not pregnant or parenting.
